Bitter Tropic (Novel), Woodstock, NY
Bitter Tropic travels between New York and Puerto Rico, following three characters whose lives are profoundly impacted by the 1950s Puerto Rican independence movement.
“My hope is to explore questions of personal and political freedom, art, identity, and diaspora, while illuminating largely unknown figures in Puerto Rican history—the women leaders who fought for independence.”
