Black Rice (Novel), Chicago, IL
Black Rice is a historical novel that explores centuries-long connections between China and people of African descent, as told by five members of an Afro-Asian family.
“Like Black Tea, Black Cake, the Other Side of Paradise, and similar works of creative expression, I hope that Black Rice contributes to the discourse between communities of the Sino-Black Diaspora.”
