The Calcoon Emerald (historical novel)  NY, NY

Set in New York City at the dawn of the Gilded Age, THE CALCOON EMERALD follows the inhabitants of three immigrant households whose lives are irrevocably altered by the loss and discovery of an extraordinary ring.

Andrée Lockwood is a NYC-based writer at work on her first novel. Andrée was a longtime member of NYC’s Writers Studio where she taught beginning and intermediate fiction. She co-produced the WritersReadNYC reading series for 12 years, showcasing established and emerging writers. Her short story Anyone Crazier than You appeared in Epiphany and was nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She is the recipient of a fellowship from Yaddo. Andrée is the Development/Communications Director for the nonprofit Comprehensive Youth Development, where she raises funds to give at-risk and immigrant NYC high-school students a second chance to graduate and prepare for life after high school.
