Amy Kennedy Explores the Intersection of Industry and Nature

September 11, 2024

Meet Amy Kennedy, a 2024 COURAGE to WRITE grantee working on her nonfiction book, Vanishing Points: Words for Disappearing.

Vanishing Points: Words for Disappearing. is a collection of micro-essays and photographs that explores the intersection of industry and nature, and the emotions elicited by those surreal spaces.

Amy Kennedy is a New Orleans-based writer and educator examining environmental issues in Louisiana. Witnessing the compounding crises of modern life while watching her two young children discover the natural world inspires her writing.

An update from Amy:“My project is now in the copy editing stage. Vanishing Points received a 2024 Antenna Press Publishing Award and will be released later this year.”
