Adrienne Raphel

Adrienne Raphel, writer, teacher, and poet, is the author of Thinking Inside the Box: Adventures with Cross words and the Puzzling People Who Can’t Live Without Them. Her writing appears in the New York Times, the New Yorker, the Paris Review, and Poetry. While at the Library in June 2023, Raphel will work on her current nonfiction book, Department Story: Inventing the Family and the Desires that Live Within It.
