Applications are now open.
The American Library in Paris announces the opening of applications for the 2025-2026 Visiting Fellowship, supported by The de Groot Foundation.
Established in 2013, the Fellowship fosters creativity and cross-cultural dialogue, reflecting the Library’s mission of deepening French-American understanding. The Fellowship offers writers, researchers, and creators a month in Paris to work on a personal project while contributing to the Library’s cultural life. Fellows present a public program based on the 2025-2026 Visiting Fellowship theme: Ways of Seeing.
WAYS OF SEEING
Inspired by John Berger’s Ways of Seeing, this theme explores how we perceive and interpret the world through art, literature, media, and culture. Programs may address visual storytelling, cross-cultural exchange, or innovative approaches to creativity and representation.
