(c) Clarity with Grace Photography

Don’t Listen to Starr Bright follows a small-town pariah’s journey to decipher the scandalous truths of her mother’s cryptic suicide note.

“I want Starr’s story to remind us that every human, regardless of past mistakes, has fundamental value and a fundamental right to be heard. No one is beyond redemption.”

Elizabeth Wood is a writer, freelance journalist, and lifelong Midwesterner based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her work has appeared in regional imprints of Forbes, Fortune, Money, Entrepreneur, Good Housekeeping, Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, and others. She was the runner-up scholarship winner for the 2023 Writer Unboxed UnConference for early pages of Don’t Listen to Starr Bright, which is her second fiction manuscript with intent for publication. She is represented by Carly Watters and CeCe Lyra of P.S. Literary Agency.
