Hadley Franklin Wins 2023 Desperate Literature Short Fiction Prize!

Congratulations to Hadley Franklin, winner of the 2023 Desperate Literature Short Fiction Prize, for her work Falling.

Hadley Franklin holds an MFA in fiction from New York University’s Creative Writing Program. Her stories have been published in Cagibi, Joyland Magazine, & others. Her work was selected for the Red Light Fiction reading series, and her writing has been nominated for a Best of the Net award. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.

As this year’s winner, Hadley will receive prize money, a seven-day residency at the Civitella Ranieri artist’s retreat in Umbria, Italy, a manuscript assessment through The Literary Consultancy, and publication in Eleven Stories 2023.

 

The 2023 Runners-Up include N G F Clark’s Damsons and Andrea Mason‘s Today, at the Dump, the World is in the Bin.
