Where On Long Island Will You Bury Me? (Poetry), Syracuse, NY

Where on Long Island Will You Bury Me? drives through an expressway of Americana through vignettes of pop cultural critique & odes to the underground.

“I wanna write poems for the nerds, the freaks, the emos & weirdos –especially those who are racially & sexually marginalized. I just want people to feel less alone.”

J.C. Rodriguez is a writer & former social worker from Long Island. He is currently an MFA candidate at Syracuse University & has received fellowships from Brooklyn Poets, The Watering Hole, & GrubStreet. His writing has appeared in places like Phoebe, Waxwing, Barrelhouse, & Meow Meow Pow Pow. He does web & art stuff for Salt Hill, operates as a slush adventurer for Interstellar Flight Press, & runs a zine called Follow the Sea. You might find him online at brownmoon.rip where he occasionally blogs about food-soda pairings.
