Misinterpretation (Literary Novel), Brooklyn, NY

“To humanize “the other”. To build a bridge instead of a wall. To offer a glimpse into Albanian culture and history.”

I am a fiction writer and playwright, born and raised in Tirana, Albania and currently residing in Brooklyn. My short fiction has been published in Akashic Books Online, Hobart, KGB Bar journal, Sonora Review, and other journals. I also have an MFA in fiction from Texas State University. My novel Misinterpretation will be submitted to publishers by my agent in January 2023. My short plays have been produced by various venues such as Martha’s Vineyard Playhouse, Downtown Urban Arts Festival in Manhattan, Manhattan Rep Theatre Festival, Tri-State Theatre Festival in New Jersey, etc. My monologue The Winner was presented by the PlayGround Experiment, as part of the Faces of America Monologue Festival, and was published in the Festival’s Anthology.
