You Must Take Part in Revolution (Graphic Novel), Co-author: Badiucao, Berlin, GERMANY

You Must Take Part in Revolution, by Melissa Chan and Badiucao, is a speculative fiction set in a near-future dystopia, this story is about fighting techno-authoritarian powers and the personal costs that come with activism and resistance.

“At a time when faith in democracy is at a low, particularly among Gen Z, I hope this story — through this genre — informs and inspires.”

Melissa Chan is an Emmy-nominated independent journalist based between Berlin and Los Angeles. She has reported everywhere from Cuba to Canada, Mongolia to Moscow, North and South Korea, and has written for The New York Times where she was nominated for a Loeb Award — business journalism’s highest honor. Her writing has also appeared in The Atlantic, The Washington Post, Time, and more. As a broadcast correspondent, she works for VICE News. From 2013 to 2016, she worked at Al Jazeera America, specializing in enterprise reporting in the rural American West. With Al Jazeera English, she was China correspondent before her expulsion from the country. Chan has received awards from Amnesty International and a citation from the Overseas Press Club.
