In membery, Rajpal uses the tool of memory to write about Historic India’s Partition woven with the experience of Sikhs in America in the post-9/11 era.

Preeti Kaur Rajpal is a poet who grew up in California’s San Joaquin Valley. She has been honored as a recent Jerome Hill Artist Fellow in Literature and a current McKnight Artist Fellow in Creative Writing. She has most recently been a writer in residence at Djerassi Artist Residency and Anderson Center. Her poems can be found in Tupelo Quarterly, Spook, AGNI Magazine, and forthcoming in Beloit Poetry Journal, among other journals. Her first book of poems titled membery will be published by Tupelo Press in November 2023.
