I am a New York-based writer and multimedia journalist covering migration, urban policy, and criminal justice. My nonfiction has appeared in The Nation, Politico, The Atlantic, The Baffler, Lux Magazine, The New Republic, The Guardian, among other publications. My writing spans genres, ranging from award-winning features and essays to political analyses and investigations. I have also written, reported, and voiced podcast and radio segments. I was the 2022 Ira A. Lipman Fellow at Columbia University and the 2022-2023 Ida B. Wells Investigative Fellow. In 2023, I was awarded a Pulitzer Center Global Reporting Grant and a writing residency at Yaddo.
