The aim of the Desperate Literature Short Fiction Prize is to celebrate the best of new short fiction and give winners visibility for their writing. This prize works to give shortlisters the opportunity to be published in multiple print and online journals, have their work put in front of literary agents, and present their stories in multiple countries.
Desperate Literature Prizes:
First Prize:
€2000, A week’s residency at the Civitella Ranieri Foundation, a manuscript assessment and follow-up meeting with a literary editor from The Literary Consultancy
Runners-up Prizes:
€1000 (two prizes available) and a consultation with literary agent Charlotte Seymour from Johnson & Alcock (winner and runners-up)
All Winners:
Will be published in a limited edition book to be launched at the Desperate Literature Short Fiction Prize Salon, and will be invited to participate in Desperate Literature Prize Salons across the UK & EU
One Shortlisted Winner will be offered a two-week residency at Studio Faire, France.
