Stanley Gordon looks at relationships between men and their mental well-being

July 22, 2024

Meet Stanley Gordon, a 2024 COURAGE to WRITE Grantee working on his stage play, OFFICE (Nut).

A frantic psycho-dramatic magical-realist comedy, OFFICE (Nut) explores tumultuous internal relationships between men and their mental well-being through the eyes of three young corporate wannabes.

Stanley Gordon is an abstract comic writer, hailing from the peat soil of the fens. His work often revolves around experimentation with form and structure, while trying to maintain the basic enjoyability of theatre. Last year, he was one of three winners of the ‘Perfect Strangers’ scriptwriting competition.

An exciting update from Stanley: “I’m looking at Edinburgh Fringe 2025 and am meeting with local theatre companies, as well as planning a trip to this year’s fringe to canvas for a venue. There is now a completed script but it sits around the hour twenty mark, so needs dialling back for performance.”
